Finding the right car

Finding the right car for the right price is not as difficult as you may think. But there are traps to be aware of and shopping around first is a wise choice. The best way to be 'in the know' is to:

  • Check car magazines, newspapers, the Internet and ask friends and workmates for advice.

  • Keep a record of what you have seen. This way, you can compare the costs and deals, which you are offered.

  • Consider details such as budget, vehicle size, fuel economy, reliability and resale value.

You will also need to consider:

  • Motor car insurance

  • Taking out a loan from a financial institution.

  • Any other requirements?
